We all need to return items from time to time! There may be serveral reasons why an item needs to be returned to us. Take a look below for information regarding our procedure for your return...
1. If the goods are damaged upon delivery to you;
a) it is your responsibility to sign and record damages with the delivery driver at the point of delivery or;
b) notify us within 24 hours of receipt of the goods.
c) Additionally, it is your responsibility to check for damages on arrival of the goods and The Incubator Shop cannot be held liable for such damages after 24 hours.
d) If you specify at the point of purchase that the goods should be delivered without you present - i.e. goods to be left in a porch or outhouse – neither The Incubator Shop nor our couriers are to be held liable for any loss, damages or delays resulting from the delivery of the goods.
2. If you change your mind within 7 working days.
In accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive (http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm), the buyer is entitled to cancel the sale and return the goods to the seller for a full refund. The cancellation period ends after seven working days beginning with the day after the day on which the buyer receives the goods. If you need to cancel your order you must do the following:
a) supply us with a confirmation of cancellation, either written or in an email;
b) agree to cover the cost of returning the goods to us;
c) agree to return the goods in their original packaging and to pack it with reasonable care and attention. You may be held liable for any loss or damages resulting from the return of goods to us
Please note that returned goods that have been damaged during return transit, or soiled beyond repair, will not be accepted and will have their warranty invalidated. Such goods will be retained at our warehouse until you arrange re-delivery or collection.
All goods listed on our website (with the exception of liquids, feeds, consumable products and parts) are subject to a minimum 12 month warranty. The warranty covers all product faults with the exception of those attributed to intentional or accidental damage and/or reasonable wear and tear. The warranties and guarantees that we offer do not cover any loss or damage to eggs or livestock.
Please bare in mind the following points:
a) If a fault should develop within the given warranty period, the buyer should inform the seller immediately.
b) We may request that the goods are returned for inspection. If the goods are confirmed as faulty upon their return, the we will offer to repair, replace or refund the goods.
c) If you agree that we should repair or replace the goods, we will cover the costs of returning the repaired or replaced goods to you.
d) If both parties agree a refund for the goods, you will be reimbursed with both the cost of the goods and the original delivery fee.
e) If, when we recieve the returned goods, they are deemed to be in full working order, with no inherent fault; it will be your responsibility to arrange and cover the costs of re-delivery. We reserves the right to withhold the goods until such a re-delivery is arranged and paid for.
f) When returning goods to us for any reason, we must be informed in due time so we can give you a “returns reference number”.
