|I have been using old (marked) eggs to encourage my free-ranging little hens to lay where I want them to, rather than hiding their eggs in amongst our straw bales, so I know the method works. I was worried that the old eggs would stinkily break, so I bought a couple of ceramic ones as a replacement. The dummy eggs are the perfect size and weight, and easily mistaken for the real thing (so I will also mark these, lol).|
