The Incubator Shop was founded by Tony White back in November 2006, when Tony turned his lifetime hobby of egg incubation into a full-time business. He identified the growing need for quality egg incubators and poultry rearing equipment delivered directly to your door, and www.TheIncubatorShop.co.uk was born!
For the first 3 years, Tony built up the business single-handedly, based on quality products, competitive prices and outstanding customer service. The Incubator Shop quickly gained many customers through word-of-mouth recommendation and lots of repeat purchases.
By 2009, Tony was running out of time and space, struggling to meet the growing demand for The Incubator Shop's products. That year, the business opened its first commercial warehouse and employed its first member of staff.
Sales were boosted heavily in 2010 as The Incubator Shop continued to expand. The Incubator Shop made its first sales in Europe by providing a brand new, fully translated website and offering the same fantastic product range, pricing and customer service. 2010 was also the year when Tony's son, Mike, joined the team and The Incubator Shop became The Incubator Shop Limited.
The Incubator Shop's first app, iHatch-Chickens, was released for iPhone in late 2012; and the Android version followed shortly after. Our app has been downloaded in 44 countries all over the world and has ranked repeatedly in the UK and USA top 10 reference apps!
As our growth continued through 2014, The Incubator Shop once again moved to a new warehouse, twice the size of its previous warehouse.
The Incubator Shop turned ten years old and began an exclusive agreement to become the UK’s exclusive retailer of Rcom Incubators. Rcom Incubators are produced by Autoelex. Co. Ltd, based in the Republic of Korea. The machines have an outstanding reputation for product quality, hatch rates and reliability. 2016 also saw The Incubator Shop take up residence in its 3rd warehouse (three times larger than the previous warehouse), the building in which we still reside today.
As the company entered its eleventh year it found new growth by supplying the increasing demand for veterinary incubators and animal breeding equipment. Customers included many of the UK's leading research centres and universities; along with multiple high-profile veterinary practices.
The Incubator Shop continued as the UK's largest supplier of incubation equipment whilst launching a brand-new website to cater to the growing veterinary incubator market; www.incuvet.co.uk was born.
The Incubator Shop evolved its website and expanded its product offering; bringing online the popular Rcom Maru range of cabinet incubators, as well as the Buddy Digital Egg Monitor which monitors the minute heart-rate of embryos inside the eggs.
As the Coronavirus worldwide pandemic hit in early 2020, The Incubator Shop was forced to adapt quickly to the changing and challenging situation. The office team immediately began working from home, meaning our phone lines were replaced with email. Our warehouse remained open and extended its opening hours into the nights and weekend to cope with unprecedented demand for incubators throughout the summer. Even in the most difficult of circumstances, our deliveries were unaffected and our 5-star customer service record was maintained as we continued to delight our customers.
As 2021 begins, we've further expanded our customer service capability by opening our new Help & Advice Center where we post all the answers to our most frequently asked questions. The Help & Advice Center means you can get help even quicker than before. Its navigation helps direct you to the right question and a bespoke Contact Us form on each page lets us reduce the number of questions we need to ask you when replying to your query. We're delighted to be able to continue serving our customers with unbeatable customer service and look forward to a brighter year for everyone in 2021.
Over the years, The Incubator Shop has supplied to tens of thousands of customers; including some famous establishments such as the BBC, Channel 4, Imperial College London and many, many more! "I work on The One Show on the BBC and enlisted the help of Mike and all the helpers at the Incubator Shop for our one hour Friday Easter show with Russell Brand. We had an item with an incubator where we were attempting to hatch a chick live on air (which actually, somewhat surprisingly, we managed to pull off!). Logistically for this to happen we needed to purchase one large incubator for our studio as well as two portable incubators in which we could transport the fertilized eggs to us here at the BBC.
From start to finish I couldn't have asked for a more friendly or helpful service.
