Nicot Cupkit Complete Kit -

Picking larva to rear into queens of the correct age can take time, skill and a good eye, making sure to pick the larva at around the age of 18-24 hours old can be difficult.

This Cupkit system takes the guess work out and allows the Bee keeper to raise queens without having to master the delicate art of grafting and of course not all Bee Keepers like to graft larva.

The Cupkit Board is best introduced into the hive with the queen excluder panel removed before at least 24 hours before used to allow the hive to become familiar with it.

The best practice is to fit the board into a frame drawn comb with a hole cut out big enough to fit the board in. The board holds 110 cells, these should be fitted to the rear of each artificial cell in the board. When the time comes catch the queen and place here inside the board on the side with the queen excluder, there is a stoppered entrance on the front to allow her introduction. After 24 hours the queen should have started to lay in the cell cups and at this point she can be released. This is where timing is critical, is the queen was introduced on day one the eggs will be played on day 2 by day 5 they will be the correct age. You simply remove the brown cell cups with a pair of tweezers and you will have your larva ready to rear without needing to graft or guess work.

The complete kit includes,

Cupkit Board

X 110 brown cell cups

X 10 roller cages

X 10 cell bar blocks

X 10 cup caps.
